Subtraction using vedic maths technique

All from 9 and the last from 10 (Nikhilam Navatashcaramam Dashatah):

  • This trick helps to find complements of numbers, especially useful for subtraction.

  • To get the complement of a digit, subtract it from 9 (except for the last digit, which is subtracted from 10).
  • Example: To subtract 36 from 100.
  • Step 1: Complement of 36 = 9 - 3 = 6 and 10 - 6 = 4
  • Step 2: Subtract the complements from the base (100): 100 - 60 - 4 = 36
